...William Belden Noble of Washington, has given to the University a fund of $20,000 to endow a lectureship in memory of her husband, a clergyman of the Episcopal Church and a graduate of Harvard in '85. The lectures are intended to perpetuate the influence of religion as represented by Phillips Brooks and may deal with any subject upon which Christianity has a bearing.
