Over 200 first-year Law School men attended the reception tendered them by the Law School Society at Phillips Brooks House last night. E. D. Smith 3L., who recently resigned as president of the Society an account of ill health, presided, and introduced Professor Samuel Williston '82 as the first speaker. In regard to college courses, they may all be roughly divided into those which are valuable for the information they import, and those which give ability to solve problems.
