...Harvard players Minot, Captain Fish, Corbett and Wigglesworth seemed to be the most brilliant. Minot's punting was very consistent, though the wind affected it somewhat during the first half his line plunging and defensive work was of a very high standard. Captain Fish was marvellous on the defence; he seemed to be all over the field making a great many tackles in the open. Corbett, by his runs outside of tackle, gained many yards. He ran hard dodged well, and was always following the ball. The two Withingtons, Fisher and McKay formed a line through which Yale made...

...annual fall handicap track games were held Saturday afternoon on an improvised turf track behind the Stadium. Owing to a cold wind, and the unfavorable condition of the track, the performances in general were not so good as those of last year. C. C. Little '10 did the best individual work, winning first place in the broad jump, at 22 feet, and in the 12-pound shot-put, at 48 feet. In both events he was placed on scratch...

Minot played excellently, hitting the line hard and fast, but his punting was even more phenomenal. His nine punts averaged 37 yards and all but one were made against a brisk wind. Leslie, when substituted for Frothingham, was absolutely steady, so that he could always be counted on for a substantial gain, while, in addition, he made a sensational catch of a short onside kick. The line played very well, the defence being especially strong, for West Point's two first downs...

West Point won the toss and acting-captain Byrne chose to receive the kick off at the north end, having the wind at his back. P. Withington kicked off to Dean, who ran to his 26-yard line, after some very clever dodging. A fake kick failed to gain so Dean punted to Frothingham, who was tackled instantly on Harvard's 40-yard line. A quarterback run gained seven yards, three line plays netted 17 yards more, but Harvard was penalized for offside play, leaving the ball on West Point's 50-yard line. Here O'Flaherty sent a forward...

...first half, penalties and exchanges of punts caused the ball to change hands repeatedly, until by straight rushing the Freshmen brought the ball to Groton's 20-yard line. Lewis then kicked a pretty field goal against a strong wind. Just before the end of the half Chadwick made 15 yards on a forward pass from Gardner, but the play was declared illegal...
