Four Weld and five Newell crews went out on the river Saturday in spite of very unfavorable conditions. Owing to the coldness and the high wing, the crews rowed for only a short time. The Newell Seniors, Juniors, First Sophomores and First Freshmen raced from the boathouse to the Stillman Infirmary and back. Going up-stream, the Seniors won by a quarter of a length; and on the return, the Freshman crew won by a few feet. In each race the last crew was less than a length behind the winner...
