Several championships have been registered in it for the University; and a similar record is apparent with the Freshman teams. Secondly, it holds pre-eminence as a winter sport, especially since swimming is handicapped by the lack of a pool. Including managerial competitions and scrub teams, more than 200 men are concerned with hockey during the season, and this number compares favorably with other major sports.
