This year, more than most, Ockham is driving politics too. The decline of the Hillary Clinton candidacy has taken political wisemen largely by surprise. How could the Clinton machine - the one that was supposed to mow down the opposition on its way to the inevitable restoration of the family bloodline - come apart so? Bill's shivving Barack in South Carolina looked bad, but wasn't it a clever play to the cheap seats that would attract more votes than it would lose? Hillary's tears in New Hampshire rusted the iron lady a little, but wasn't that just...
...feels like one of our movies” and audiences should respond. Indeed, as South Park continues to get smarter and quicker, Parker and Stone—a couple of former waterheads from the University of Colorado—have accidentally become the elder wisemen of our time. For reasons unexplained and unimportant everything somehow, oddly works out for the better, I think. The end. Cut back to the music; enter Sokol, Airaldi, Levin etal...
Armed with a hefty public opinion poll, the Democratic wisemen--chairmen of their state parties--mapped-out a strategy for the '86 elections. They decided Democrats would do best to avoid the words "Ronald Reagan"--an incantation for Republican victory--and urged their party not to target the President's policies...
