...humor that is not at all collegiate and is certainly less dignified. Such things as "Spageltim's Revenge," "A Malayan Tragedy," "Bad Ballads," and the "War Papers," are, it must be said, funny and laughable, but still they appeal to an inferior taste. Most men, who laugh, will also wish that something better, something less forced and more appropriate to a college paper and more in keeping with the Lampoon's former dignity, had been given them to read or look at. Startling pictorial tragedies, or comedies, and terribly humorous but also rather coarse sketches find their way often enough...
...hope that with the "shacks" the fever is to stop. Perhaps it would be well if these charming companions were always on the strike - provided they meant business and staid away without undertaking to damage property. But the word strike, in some indirect way, suggests a yard policeman. We wish the man and the birch switch would return to active duty...

We have already received many communications from freshmen, but as the CRIMSON board is intended to be as nearly representative as possible we desire a more widespread interest among the freshmen. Election to a CRIMSON editorship is competitive. We ask all who wish to be considered candidates, to send in at once editorials, special communications, front page articles, or fact and rumor items.
