Members of the University who wish to contribute to the fund which Boston is going to present to Marshal Joffre for the orphan children of France should send their contributions to A. Beane '11, Phillips Brooks House, Cambridge. It has been considered advisable for the University to give its general contribution to increase the fund which is being raised throughout Greater Boston, rather than to make a separate gift to the French Marshal when he visit the University on Saturday. Students in the College who have not already passed their oral examination in either French or German will be given their last opportunity this year to do so tomorrow afternoon and succeeding afternoons this week. All candidates who wish to take this examination are to notify the Recorder, 4 University Hall, in writing, by today.
