...spring crew season for informal and Freshman oarsmen will not start on Monday as previously announced, for at present the University is without available facilities for training the two squads. Several weeks ago when both boathouses were closed in order to aid in conserving the fuel supply, the rowing machines were moved into the Locker Building. Recently heat in this building also was shut off. If the warm weather continues, however, it is expected that the Locker Building will be reopened on Tuesday. If the building is reopened then, crew candidates will start next week...
