Jeremy L. McCarter '98 and his cast of talented actors negotiate this creative set with energy, enthusiasm and wit to spare. Like the wacky stream of militar characters who spin around Yossarian,--the wartime pilot who believe that everyone is out to get him--the setting of the play switches from stage to stage so smoothly that even if one's view is slightly blocked due to a distant sea (or a tall person in the front), it will no be for long anyway...

...what wit the characters do have. With the exception of Bryan W. Leach '00 as the staunchly paranoid Yossariar everyone in the cast exhudes two distinct talents: the ability to play a number of extremely different characters, and the ability to make each of them as delightfully absurd as possible. The script itself a tight-laced tango of double entendred and hysterically ironic scenarios, could only be mastered by a group of actor with impeccable comic timing and greaversatility. Particularly notable are Jame A. Carmichael '01 as the dry Lt. Co-Korn; Michael P. Davidson '00 as the stereotypical Italian...

...despite the tragic horror that marks Eve's Bayou, the film even contains moments of macabre absurdity involving the end result of Mozelle's prophecies. Lemmons, perhaps inspired by the morbid wit of The Silence of the Lambs, brings a sly humor to seemingly inappropriate moments...

...your Oct. 24 issue ("Becoming a Bad TF: All You Need to Know.") While Horn dutifully qualifies her negative--and, granted, not completely inaccurate--assessments of her data, the sarcasm which Horn directs against all teaching fellows as a species is often "Awk," at best, and of limited wit (i.e., "Nice Work": B+...make that a B). In fact, I wasn't quite sure what the overall point of Horn's article was, until I read Reader Representative Noelle C. Eckley's companion piece, printed directly above it ("Filling The Crimson: Better Judgment Needed in Selecting Wire Stories and Photos...

...penis to a board and calls it art. Yet Bob Flanagan, masochist with a cause, might win the sympathy of any stony conservative, for he was one of the longest-lived survivors of cystic fibrosis, a lung disease that takes most of its victims in childhood. His daft wit even turned his affliction into a Mary Poppins-style ditty: "Supermasochistic Bob has cystic fibrosis/ He should've died when he was young, but he was too precocious.../ A lifetime of infection and his lungs all filled with phlegm/ The CS would have killed him if it weren...
