AMHERST, Mass., May 27.- Amherst took advantage of the weak team Harvard sent up here today to avenge her defeat at Cambridge, and did it by the score of 9 to 5. The home team could not hit either Paine or Cozzens advantageously, but won the game on bases on balls and errors by the visitors at opportune times.
