Usage:

...chooses to put the thing, it will certainly sound terrific. Hi-Fi can get a lot louder than the Bose and still maintain the clarity of its sound. (I didn't test it against the Klipsch.) And even though the left and right channels share a central 4.5-in. woofer for rich mid-range, I didn't hear a problem with stereo separation. Things were as spread as they can be in a single unit. The only thing buyers needs to be wary of is that the files on their iPods - not necessarily iTunes purchases, but perhaps songs downloaded elsewhere...

...seems to have found his mission amid Vowz's barstools and cocktail shakers. There's plenty in the venue to remind him of a monastery, from a miniature butsudan shrine in the corner to Nepalese mandalas on the ceiling, the ever-present haze of incense and a powerful Bose woofer system playing the synthesizer-backed chants of Tibetan Lama Gyurme. Drinks cost up to $7 each and last orders are at 4:30 a.m. It may be a sinfully late hour, but it's also just in time for morning prayers...

...walls were painted a pleasant dove gray with crimson awnings; the faded black seats were replaced by very comfortable dark turquoise ones; the aisles were made more accessible for wheel chairs and the space was organized more efficiently; the old mono sound system was enhanced by a sub-woofer; the carpets, screen and aisle lights were replaced, and the lobby was spruced up. These massive renovations were done subtly and the Brattle is not fundamentally different. It is still the same beloved theatre that draws people from all over Massachusetts and even America with its incredible programming and wonderful atmosphere...
