...Coming. The charismatic Rhymes, along with rapper The Last Boy Scout, gave a solid performance. His unique, free-flowing lyrical style and tremendous energy were well received by the concertgoers, who were out of their seats and dancing during his entire portion of the concert. During his signature song, "Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check," the capacity crowd repeatedly bounced up and down while singing along. The highlight of his act was the "Take off your clothes" dance during which he and the Last Boy Scout stripped down to boxer shorts and sang rap songs while half naked...

Cathcart, it turns out, was really Albert--clothed in literary drag to woo his predominantly female readership. Albert educated himself by reading, escaping a Dickensian childhood--absent father, reviled stepfather--to write Her Majesty, Prince Charles and other genteel accounts of royal life...

When The Wings of the Dove was offered, she thought, "Oh, not another costume drama--and in the period that I've done to death." True, but Kate, who prods her lover Merton to woo dying American heiress Millie Theale (Alison Elliott), is a more complex lady of breeding. She and Merton recall two other devious Europeans, also out to fleece a rich American girl, in James' The Portrait of a Lady. Here, though, the best role and much of the rooting interest...
...earliest tenor and bass airs in Part I of Handel's Messiah. These passages, like nearly all of the piece, were executed masterfully. Saffer in particular seemed the very bird described by her lines, "Sweet bird,.../ Most musical, most melancholy,/ Thee, chantress of the woods among,/ I woo to hear thy even song." Saffer's song floated through incredible trills and arpeggios which spanned several octaves without the slightest hint of effort. The choir, though little utilized in Handel's score, contributed a flawless, rich background for the soloists in music which also reminded one strongly of certain choruses...
