...opening exercises of Radcliffe college were held yesterday morning in Fay House. Miss Irwin welcomed the new students, and briefly mapped out the work for the year. The registration of the Freshman class was very large and promises to exceed all previous figures. The scholarships for 1899-1900 have not yet been awarded. After a little signal practice, the first eleven lined up against the scrub for a ten minute half. Owing to the strong work of several members of the second eleven, the first eleven was able to score but once, Ellis who took Warren's place making the touchdown.
