...Harvard can scarcely hope to defeat an eleven containing five or six of the Gentlemen of Philadelphia team which is to visit England next summer; but the college will expect a good showing even against these odds. The eleven has been improving lately, and with sharp fielding and steady work ought at least to keep down the runs.
