Last night the Freshman Glee and Banjo clubs gave their last regular concert of the year at the town hall in Milton. The work of the two clubs was very good. Much the same programme as at the Cambridge concert was followed, and all the songs were heartily received. The Banjo club was at its best. The playing was almost perfect, and the club received an encore for every selection. After the concert a dance was held in the hall...

...last meeting of the Harvard Union for this year was held last evening and was devoted exclusively to business. The treasurer's and vice-president's reports showed that the society was in a flourishing condition. Six meetings have been held this half year with an average attendance of 68. The average number of speakers from the floor at each meeting has been 14. The debates showed unusual interest among both members and outsiders, and a large number had to be closed while men were still waiting for a chance to speak...

...annual reports presented at the annual meeting of the Harvard Union last evening show an encouraging progress in the society during the part year. The need of a debating society in the college is so well recognized that a blow which might have proved fatal to another organization produced but little effect upon the Union, and even this has almost entirely disappeared. The attendance showed a marked increase over last year, and the debates have been not always confined to the principal disputants, as often happened formerly, but shared with animation by the other members. If the Union continues...

This game as it is well known is the contest in preparation for which the Harvard lacrosse team does its hard work, all things are made subservient, when it is a question of a victory or a defeat. Last year we lost, but this year in spite of many disadvantages we hope to see the crimson come out victorious. The lacrosse team has been hard at work, and if diligence in practice and faithfulness in training count for anything, we may certainly hope to greet our team as victors, after...

...most interesting lectures delivered in Cambridge this year was that given last night under the auspices of the Natural History society of Harvard, by Professor Carl Lumholtz, of the Royal Academy of Sciences, of Christiana. Although but a short notice of the lecture could be given, the large lecture-room of the Jefferson Physical Laboratory was completely filled by an audience which followed with the greatest interest the fascinating recital of the remarkable experiences of Professor Lumholtz among the cannibal aborigines of Australia. The lecture was unusually long, but the attention of the audience was held throughout. The interest...
