...Pierian Sodality is an organization which deserves more support than it is at present receiving. It is the oldest and largest of our musical organizations. Last year it took part in but two concerts, one in December and one in May, and both in Cambridge. With such a long interval of rest it is very difficult to keep alive an interest in the rehearsals. From the advance sheets of the catalogue a very encouraging account of the Professional Schools can be gathered. The Law School shows quite a gain in numbers over last year while the Medical department has more than doubled the number of two years ago. In the Divinity School the gain is not quite so marked but there is a slight increase over former years. A movement is now on foot to establish a Musical Department here.
