...Weil paints a pair of hands holding a paint brush. The range of oranges in this canvas alone is impressive: While the background is painted loosely in a happy mango orange, the shade gradually merges into the russet-orange of the hands, and finally to a lemony yellow evoking the images of autumn leaves. While much of the paint is loosely layered, a thin layer of pastel blues and khaki greens can be identified underneath the intense oranges. These blues and greens are made visible through the artist’s manipulation of paint with a palette knife...

...asset sales won't do the job, that leaves some pretty tough choices. Analysts speculate that BT might cut dividends or issue more shares at cut-rate prices in a rights offering. (BT did have some good news last week; it is reportedly close to selling its Yell online yellow pages in a private sale worth as much as $4 billion.) Another possibility is that the large telecom operators' credit ratings might fall into bbb range - the last bracket before junk-bond status - which would make it more expensive for them to finance future investments. The CD case is a multi-colored colored box of yellow and blue, folded intricately to cradle the two compact discs of similar colors within, with accompanying photo and lyric booklets. This is not to say that parts of Tubes are not visually and aurally stunning. The combination of color and sound that merge into a viscerally percussive assault on the senses as seemingly disembodied and luminous heads guide eruptions of red and yellow from their musical instruments is inspiring. ...movie-extra job. Hill did pick up some work as an extra for British TV in the '80s, a job he liked because you got "danger pay" for playing a soldier or policeman. "When the Troubles were at their height, it was considered dangerous," he says. "You wore big yellow BBC plaques at the top of your uniform just to make sure, if there were any potential snipers, they wouldn't mistake...
