...annual fall handicap, scratch and novice shoots started yesterday after noon at the traps on soldiers Field and will continue until Saturday noon. Any member of the University is eligible for the first two shoots, but in the novice class no man will be allowed to compete who has won his University letter or any prize in regular match. The whole squad was on the field and everybody but Captain Fish and Hooper was dressed to play. ...Mermaids won the scrub lacrosse championship by defeating the Nymphs by a score of 3 to 0 on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. Their victory was due to an aggressive attack and a strong defence, which broke up the Nymphs' offence before it was well started.
