The entire University squad was out, with the exception of Kersburg, who was given a day's rest on account of a cold. In the preliminary work Coach Reid and Burr punted to the backs for about 15 minutes in order to give them confidence while playing in the backfield, and practice in blocking off tacklers. Secret football practice yesterday afternoon was rather light, as but six of the men who played in Saturday's game Fraser, Parker, Kennard, Lincoln, Lockwood, and Peirce--were on the field.
