Sixteen horses arrived yesterday for the University Artillery Unit, and until further arrangements are completed, will be stabled at the Commonwealth Armory. This brings the total number of horses received so far up to 21. They will be used this summer in the voluntary riding class which will be organized at the opening of the summer school. Although no credit will be given for this course in equitation, the experience will be a valuable one, especially for those who intend entering the unit in the fall...

When interviewed by a representative of the CRIMSON yesterday, Mr. Allen said he expects to spend the month of June in a preliminary study of the situation as regards University news and publications. In September he plans to begin work actively. He will attempt to help the newspapers and magazines to secure accurate news of the University with a minimum of inconvenience and delay, and he will also make other arrangements for keeping Harvard graduates and the public in general in closer touch with the University...
...Yesterday was given over to comparative rest. The Freshmen took a four-mile walk, while the University rowers went for a short cruise in G. L. Batchelder's auxillary yawl, the "Dorello." Most of the time that has not been taken up with actual rowing, has been spent in quarters on account of the cold and rain. Rubber boots have been issued and are worn by the men outside...
