On the other hand, Dylan may be following John Lennon who made fools of the record-buying public when he sold an album of noises uttered by Yoko Ono. If Dylan is out to humiliate us all, at least we can say, we bought if for the music, Bob, we really...

...housed the satanic gathering. In real life, however, the forbidding turrets and gables guard one of the oldest, ritziest and most famous apartment buildings in Manhattan. It is the Dakota, behind whose 2-ft. -thick brick walls live such celebrities as Lauren Bacall, Roberta Flack, and John Lennon and Yoko Ono, who own some 28 rooms throughout the Dakota and who once held a séance to commune with departed tenants. ...funny that the Rutles' first big hit song is called Hold My Hand instead of I Want to Hold Your Hand? Or that their largest American concert is held at New York's Che Stadium, not Shea Stadium? Is it a howl that John and Yoko (here named Ron and Chastity) hold their famous antiwar press conference in a bathtub rather than a bed? This is not humor; it's just British undergraduate silliness...
