Official records describe His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor Yoshihito, as the lineal descendant of the first and prehistoric Emperor Jimmu of Japan (circa 660-585 B. C.). Though the Emperor Jimmu is still believed to be the fifth in descent from the Sun-Goddess, an error was discovered last week in the official genealogy which has previously set forth that the present Emperor was the 122nd in descent from Jimmu.
