...short service conducted by the Rev. F. G. Peabody, the organist introduced the Cantata with a magnificent rendering of the Hallelujah chorus from Beethoven's Mount of Olives. The recitative with which the cantata began was finely given by Richardson of the St. Paul's choir. The Chant of Young Men was especially good and in perfect harmony.
