Ethan Berkowitz, a promising freshman from San Francisco, skippered in the "470" National Championships, placed second in the "470" Pacific Coast Championships, and crewed in the Rhodes 19 Nationals for a third-place finish. Freshman Enrique Adsuan was at the helm of a Sunfish in the 1978 World Championships and crewed in Lightnings for his home country of Puerto Rico in the Pan-American Games. The plotting is vague, the tedious medical cri ses are easily averted, and the comedy leaden. As always in this genre, there is a young sidekick for the middle-aged hero. This time out, the second banana calls himself Gonzo, purports to be a Viet Nam veteran, looks and acts like a fashion mod el and lives in a very cute van called the Titanic...
