With a name like Yugo 55, it sounds less like a car than a surrealistic foreign film. But Entrepreneur Malcolm Bricklin believes the tiny Yugoslavian vehicle, whose name plate reflects its nationality and horsepower, will appeal to frugal American car buyers. Next spring Bricklin will begin importing 35,000 Yugos into the U.S. The four-passenger, front-wheel-drive auto will carry a $3,990 sticker price that will make it the cheapest new car on the U.S. market.
