With youthful, black-browed Stalin standing stolidly at his right, puffing on a Hawkshaw pipe, Lenin (Boris V. Shchukin) addresses his colleagues. "Stalin is right," he barks, "there must be immediate seizure of power." Throughout the film Stalin is shown frequently, studying maps, arranging for Lenin's safety...
...Stalin's recent "purge." Notably missing from this new Cabinet was Commissar for Justice Nikolai Vasilievich Krylenko, the pouncing prosecutor of early Moscow purge trials. Successor to Krylenko is Judge Nikolai Richkov, who sat on the bench which condemned to death famed Old Bolsheviks Piatakov, Kamenev and Zinoviev. Named new chief of the Caspian-i. e., No. 1 maker of five-year-plans-was Nikolai Voznesensky, formerly vice-commissar under famed Commissar Valery Mezhlauk...

Watching the film this week, Our Sun beamed to observe that Lenin, impersonated by ace Soviet Cinemactor Schchukin, not only never has any dealings with Trotsky, Zinoviev and Kamenev but at mention of their names denounces them...
