...60th Cannes Film Festival struck us. Their perplexities are part of their power. One of them Joel and Ethan Coen's No Country for Old Men, is slated to open in the States this fall. The other two - Cristian Mungiu's 4 Months, 3 Weeks & 2 Days and Andrei Zvyagintsev's The Banishment - have won enough acclaim here to give them a good chance of showing up in North American theaters, or at least the major film festivals, later this year...
